Whittlesea Primary School is proud to be involved in the School Breakfast Club program. This program seeks to improve educational outcomes by offering free and healthy food for students in 1,000 Victorian government schools.
Breakfast clubs build connections with students, enabling schools to create safe and welcoming spaces, where children and families can connect with volunteers, teachers, and the broader school community.
Research undertaken in 2019 by Victoria University found the following benefits for schools with this program.
This indicates that the combined improvement in concentration, engagement, social skills, and other educational factors has had a positive effect on students’ capacity to learn and their educational outcomes.
The Whittlesea Primary School Breakfast Club takes place every Monday from 8.00am in the school gym. We are delighted to be able to offer this service to our students.
