At Whittlesea Primary School, our students, staff, and the wider community come together at different times throughout the year to celebrate student learning, achievements, and special occasions.
Term Assemblies
Twice a term, our School Captains host whole school assemblies in the school Gym. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. We celebrate student learning, recent events, and sporting achievements during these assemblies. The Learning Legends awards are also presented during this time to a student from each class for academic excellence.
Please visit our calendar to find when and where our assemblies are held.
Special Event Assemblies
We celebrate several special events throughout the year, encouraging students and staff to come dressed in theme.
For example, in term three, we celebrate Book Week. This year's theme was 'Book an Adventure' and celebrated 80 years of Book Week.
On the last day of Term Three, we celebrate all things footy as the seasons from various codes draw to a close. Students and staff can come to school dressed in their team colours on this day.
To wrap up the year, we celebrate with our annual Christmas Assembly. Again, dressed in all things Christmas, students and staff perform carols for their peers and families. During this assembly, we also announce the student leaders for the following year.
