Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria. Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy 

2026 Prep Enrolments

The Department of Education has released an updated statewide Prep enrolment timeline for the 2026 school year. The timeline advises families when and how to enroll their child into Prep at a Victorian government primary school, including Whittlesea Primary School.

All government primary schools follow this timeline in 2025 for Prep enrolments for the 2026 school year.

Enrolment forms for 2026 Foundation at Whittlesea Primary School are available from Tuesday, 22nd April 2025.

Key Dates & What you need to do:

1. Contact our office to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
2. Complete our

   WPS - Foundation Expression of Interest 2026

   (which also allows you to book a Tour - see Dates above) 
3. Download the Prep enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Prep (available from 22 April 2025). This pack includes an application form. You can also collect these from the school office.
4. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
5. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2025. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 22 August 2025.
6. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions
7. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) in 2026.
8. Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, following the department’s Placement Policy.

You may be asked to provide documents to verify your child’s permanent residence. Any combination of the following documents is acceptable, as long as they add up to at least 100 points.
